Don R. Knight, 64, 5653 Jurgella Lane, died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Custer, with the Rev. Robert Schaller officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. A general rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Knight was born Nov. 18, 1936, in Wausau, a son of the late Gene and Gladys (Orr) Knight.
He entered the U.S. Army on Sept. 26, 1959, and was discharged on March 24, 1960. He re-entered the army on Oct. 15, 1961, serving as a specialist 4. He received the sharp shooter medal. He was honorably discharged on Aug. 10, 1962.
He was married to Elsie Kosak.
He was employed with the Copps Corp. as a regional supervisor for the independent stores.
He was a member of the Stevens Point Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Laurie (Thomas) Hines, Mosinee, and Brenda Pikus-Kramer, Rosholt; one son, Keith, Stevens Point; three stepsons, John Kotolski, Madison, and Jason Kotolski and Justin Kotolski, both of Stevens Point; one stepdaughter, Amanda Kotolski, Stevens Point; one brother, Jerry, Thailand; and three grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Patrick.
