Arthur C. Haas, 57, Lancaster, husband of a former Stevens Point woman and father of a Stevens Point woman, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster, with Monsignor Tom Baxter officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services.
The Martin Page Funeral Home of Lancaster is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Haas was born May 21, 1943, in Dorchester, a son of Arthur W. and Isabelle (Mayr) Haas. He graduated from Colby High School in 1961 and received a bachelor of science degree in agricultural education from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
He was married to Joanne Flatoff on Sept. 25, 1965, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point.
He farmed in Spencer for eight years and later taught high school agriculture and horticulture in Waterloo. He then worked for Production Credit Association before becoming an independent insurance agent.
He and his wife owned and operated Haas & Haas Insurance Agency in Muscoda since 1988.
He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Colby and the Lion Club, Diabetes Association and City Park Board in Lancaster.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jennifer (Nicholas) Homan, Stevens Point, and Susan Haas, Janesville; one son, Jeffrey (Melissa), Platteville; his parents, Abbotsford; four sisters, Joyce (Reggie) Morgison, Woodbridge, Va., Rita (Richard) Kloehn, Unity, Judy (Dennis) Blazel, Marshall, and Karen (Rick) Block, Medford; two brothers, Robert (Marion), Unity and Leonard (Mary), Colby; and one grandson.
