Arthur A. Uher, 85, 2214 Strange St., Whiting, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dan Kozlowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Saturday at the church until the services. There will be a parish rosary at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Uher was born Nov. 10, 1915, in Junction City, a son of the late Edmund and Florence (Lawton) Uher.
He was married to Jessie Masalski on Nov. 16, 1940, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
They moved to the Stevens Point area in 1943, where they farmed for more than 33 years. They have lived at their present address the past 25 years.
He also worked for many years with the Stevens Point School District.
He was active at the Lincoln Center, where some of his woodworking projects are displayed.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Arthur (Suzanne), De Pere, and Jerome (Susan), Stevens Point; two daughters, Mary Ann Uher, St. Paul, Minn., and Bonita (Preston) Searles, Oshkosh; one sisters, Norma (Norman) Bymers, Marshfield; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
