Thomas A. Keyes, 68, Amherst Junction, formerly of Cedarburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at his residence.
Visitation, lunch and fellowship with the family will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at the United Methodist Church in Amherst. The Rev. Susan Gaul, pastor, will officiate memorial services to celebrate his life at 2 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to facilitate an operatic concert in his honor, which will benefit Hospice of Portage County and the American Cancer Society.
Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Keyes was born June 2, 1932, in Milwaukee, a son of the late Thomas E. and Ruth (Wilkes) Keyes.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was married to Sue Winter on June 9, 1956, in Milwaukee.
He retired from Wisconsin Electric as a supervisor.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Amherst.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Rose (Thomas) Oesterle, Newman, Ga., and Jill Susan (Joseph) Frank, Cedarburg; one son, John Thomas Keyes; one brother, James (Marlene), Oak Creek; two sisters, Dorothy (Thomas) Schelinske, Campbellsport, and Doris (Marvin) Clement, New Berlin; and four grandchildren.
