Leonard L. Ligman, 76, Bellevue, Neb., a Stevens Point native, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at Midland Hospital in Papillion, Neb.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Oregon, Ill., with the Rev. John Hanrahan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Oregon, Ill.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church until the services.
The Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Oregon, Ill., is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Ligman was born Aug. 10, 1924, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Alex and Rose (Zmich) Ligman.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force in May 1973 after serving 25 years, including tours in Korea and Vietnam.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Eagles Club and St. Mary Catholic Church, all in Bellevue. He was also a member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Association.
Survivors include one brother, Al (Neva), Klamath Falls, Ore.; nieces; nephews and several relatives in the Stevens Point area.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Pete and Harry; and one sister, Trudy.
