Keith E. Jones, 39, Wausau, a former emergency room nurse at St. Michael’s Hospital, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, in Lexington, Ky.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Wausau Community Chapel in Wausau, with the Rev. David Gilmore officiating. Entombment will be in Holy Angels Mausoleum in Wausau.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel until the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Keith’s name may be directed to the Wausau Community Chapel, 2125 Franklin St., Wausau WI 54403.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jones was born April 25, 1961, in New York, a son of Anna Mae (Hoffman) Jones and the late George Jones.
He graduated from Wausau East High School and received a degree in police science from Northcentral Technical College.
He was pursuing a master of divinity degree at the Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Ky., and was also employed as an emergency room nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky, and previously had been employed as a critical care nurse at Star Med, Lexington.
In addition to St. Michael’s Hospital, he worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, as well as serving as an EMT with Gold Cross Ambulance Service in Eau Claire.
Survivors include his mother, Wausau; two brothers, Charles (Susan), Wausau, and Joseph George (Mary Jo), Menomonee Falls; four sisters, Debra Ann (Jon) Jones-Gassner and Theresa Ellin (Steven) Jones-Boorse, both of Wausau, Diane Marie (Stanley) Jones-Kaminski, Wilmington, Del., and Ann Marie (John) Jones Beirl, Pulaski.
