Jean Appel, 65, 2110 Easlan Drive, Plover, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, at her residence.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Plover, with the Rev. Al Moen officiating. Burial will be in the Plover Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Jensen-Jinsky Funeral Home in Plover.
Memorials may be designated to Hospice of Portage County.
Mrs. Appel was born May 16, 1935, in Wisconsin Rapids, a daughter of the late Harry and Ramona (Panter) Wilpolt. She was educated in Wisconsin Rapids Schools.
She was married to David A. Appel on June 26, 1954, in Wisconsin Rapids.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Michael, Orlando, Fla., Steve (Amy), Carlsbad, Calif., Daniel (Julie), Green Bay, and Kevin (Sharry), Oshkosh; one sister, Joan (Donald) Allen, Wisconsin Rapids; and four grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Raithel.
