Emily A. Kurszewski, 80, 409 Frontenac Ave., Stevens Point, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Donald Przybylski officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Polonia.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from noon to 12:45 p.m. Friday at Shuda Funeral Chapel. The St. Stanislaus Rosary Society will join with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Kurszewski was born March 30, 1920, in Polonia, a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Somers) Gavin.
She was married to Henry Kurszewski on Sept. 27, 1941. He died in 1974.
The couple ran a dairy farm in Polonia until Mr. Kurszewski died. She moved to Stevens Point shortly after.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Rosary Society.
Survivors include three daughters, Alexandra (John) Curless, Stevens Point, and Mari Barr (Richard) Santangelo, Lorton, Va., and Patricia Kurszewski, Kellner; and two sons, James (Sharron), Custer, and Arthur, Stevens Point; her twin sister, Evelyn (Henry) Check, King; one brother, Vernon Gavin, Rosholt; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
