Arthur “Robel” J. Wroblewski, 80, Marshfield, father of a Stevens Point woman, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at Portage County Health Care Center where he had resided for the past month.
Graveside services were held Friday at Brooklawn Memorial Gardens in the town of Richfield (Wood County).
Hansen Funeral Home of Marshfield assisted the family with arrangements.
A memorial will be established at a later date.
Mr. Wroblewski was born March 13, 1920, in Milwaukee, a son of the late Anton and Mayme (Urowski) Wroblewski. He was educated in Milwaukee, graduating from Boys Technical High School.
He was married to Ann Igowski on Nov. 20, 1941, in Milwaukee. She died Sept. 10, 1999.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
After his discharge, he was a partner at Mantel Machine Products for five years, then was employed by Allen Bradley in Milwaukee for several years until he moved to the town of Cary in Wood County in 1964. He was employed by Preway Inc. in Wisconsin Rapids until his retirement.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors include one daughters, Barbara “Bobbie” Bohen, Stevens Point; two sons, Daniel (Charlene), Watertown, and David, Westminster, Colo.; two sisters, Florence (Ralph) Szewczykowski and Carolyn (Leon) Travanti, Milwaukee; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
