Rose C. Peplinski, 93, Amherst, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at the Iola Nursing Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst, with the Rev. Robert Pedretti officiating. Interment will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Amherst.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst until the procession leaves for the church. There will be a rosary service at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Peplinski was born Aug. 31, 1907, in the town of Stockton, a daughter of the late Vincent and Johanna (Lepinski) Lepak.
She was married to Clarence L. Peplinski on June 1`7, 1931, in at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. He died Dec. 27, 1990.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and had been a member of the St. James Altar Society.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence (Lois), Milladore, and Michael (Mary), Amherst Junction; two daughters, Ruby (Clifford) Hunt, Oshkosh, and Christine (Gary) Orear, Nicholasville, Ky.; five sister, Martha (Leo) Peplinski, Amherst Junction, Tessie Friederick, Fond du Lac, Daisy (Ben) Konkol and Eugenia (Perry) Ward, both of Amherst, and Gena Jewell, Wisconsin Rapids; two brothers, Stanley (Margaret) Lepak, Milwaukee, and Melvin (Frances) Lepak, Vestal, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy, Chester and Harry Lepak; one sister, Loretta Drake; and one grandson, Tony Leschke.
