Irma Van Veghel, 80, Almond, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Wausau Hospital in Wausau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Martin Catholic Church of St. Maximilian Parish in the town of Buena Vista, with the Rev. Daniel Farley officiating. Interment will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday at the church until the services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
The Hardell-Holly Funeral Home of Almond is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Van Veghel was born Dec. 17, 1919, in Alliance, Neb., a daughter of the late John and Emma (Kunzman) Bostron.
She was married to Fred Lecher in Milwaukee. He died while serving during World War II.
She was married to Ervin Van Veghel on Aug. 5, 1946, in Dubuque, Iowa. He died in November 1953.
Survivors include three daughters, Rosemary (Raymond) Warzynski, Diane (Charles) Holtz and Dawn (Ignacio) Parra, all of Almond; one sister, Iva Zimmermann, Franklin; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Phillip L. Bostron.
