Dorothy “Dottie” Hartney, 69, Cypress, Calif., a town of Carson native, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at her home due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
A memorial Mass was held at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Cypress, Calif., on Dec. 7.
A rosary prayer service and visitation were held on Dec. 6.
Mrs. Hartney was born April 13, 1931, in the town of Carson, a daughter of the late Nick and Clara Glaza. She worked as a seamstress.
She was married to John “Bud” Hartney in 1959 at St. Philip Catholic Church in Rudolph.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Cheryl (Henry) Machal, Cypress, Calif., and Dottie Ann (Paul) Rodriguez, Corona, Calif.; four brothers, Richard (Mary Lou) Glaza, Rudolph, Paul (Carol) Glaza and Nick (Pat) Glaza Jr., both of Wisconsin Rapids, and Andy (Mary) Glaza, Reedsville; five sisters, Ange (David) Lorenzl, Hales Corners, Marie (Jerry) Joosten, Wisconsin Rapids, Bernie (Leigh) Sickinger, Springfield, Ill., Darlene (Ed) Sayre, Mineral Point, and Theresia (Chris) Groshek, Pittsville; and six grandchildren.
