Clara E. Turzenski, 95, 2834 Michigan Ave., died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Boston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alan Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home until the services.
A memorial is established in her name in lieu of flowers for the Salvation Army or to someone less fortunate.
Mrs. Turzenski was born Nov. 16, 1905, in Portage County, a daughter of the late John and Helen Marchel. She attended the Jordan School.
She was married to Max R. Turzenski in August 1925, in Stevens Point. He died Oct. 4, 1966.
She worked for Frost and Weber Tackle companies for a number of years and taught fly tying during World War II. She later worked for the Uniform Store and then The Thrift Shop. The last 15 years she has done craft work which she sold at The Holly Shoppe in the Lincoln Center.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Society and St. Stanislaus Rosary Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Camille (Robert) Lind and Dorothy (Ronald) Sroda, both of Stevens Point; one sister, Eleanor Strasser, Stevens Point; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Max Jr.; two sisters; four brothers, and one grandchild.
