Alfred “Fritz” M. Bigalke, 47, 931 Jordan Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at his residence while under the care of his wife, his children and the Hospice of Portage County.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and again from 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home until the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be sent to the Hospice of Portage County and the National Right to Life Foundation.
Mr. Bigalke was born April 3, 1953, in Weisbaden, Germany, a son of Margaret (Bayerl) Bigalke and the late Myron Bigalke Sr.
He was married to Margaret “Charlie” Smart on June 14, 1980, in Stevens Point.
After the marriage, they settled in Stevens Point.
He was employed for the Stevens Point Brewery the past five years. He was an old car enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Candace (Brent) Taylor, Stevens Point; two sons, Israel Totzke, Stevens Point, and Pete Bigalke, Lafayette, Ind.; his mother, Stevens Point; four brothers, Myron Jr. (Marilyn), David (Sheri) and Jerry, all of Stevens Point, and Tony, Las Vegas, Nev.; and two sisters, Laurie Atherton, Long Beach, Calif., and Marjorie (Stephen) Danczyk, Wisconsin Rapids.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert.
