Ruth Gile, 91, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at River Pines Center in Whiting where she was residing.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Jon Wessell officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday at the church until the services.
Boston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gile was born Nov. 8, 1909, in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of the late William and Dora (Foss) Lieber. She attended Chicago area schools.
She was married to Fred Gile in September 1934. He died in February 1987.
The couple settled in Milwaukee where she worked in a shoe factory.
In 1946 they came to Stevens Point where she worked in a local restaurant and later for the Delzell family.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one son, William (Carol) Gile, Stevens Point; one stepdaughter, Maxine (Leighton) Sage, Kalamazoo, Mich.; one sister, Mildred Swanty, Allegan, Mich.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Lieber.
