Marvin R. Braun, 79, Amherst, formerly of Antigo and Pickerel, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst, with the Rev. Dale Critchley officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday at the church until the services.
Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Braun was born May 12, 1921, in Pickerel, a son of the late Robert J. and Lena (Arndt) Braun.
He served in the U.S. Army for 21 years during World War II and also the Korean War.
He was married to Betty Gene Grant on Aug. 12, 1945, in Marysville, Calif.
He worked for the U.S.D.A. from 1964 to 1996 as a commodities inspector.
Survivors include his wife, Amherst; three daughters, Pamela (Terry) Meyer, Amherst, Patricia (Dale) Mogenson, Kiel, and Sandra (P.J. Whitney) Braun, Amherst; one son, Robert (Bobbie), Pickerel; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters.
