Louis J. Berti, 73, 1804 Birch Road, Rosholt, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at his home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent, with the Rev. Rex Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel and from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the services.
Mr. Berti was born Nov. 28, 1927, in Hurley, a son of the late John and Frances (Rizzi) Berti.
He served in the U.S. Army, entering service on March 21, 1945, in Milwaukee and receiving his honorable discharge on Dec. 12, 1946, at Fort Sheridan, Ill. He received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, the Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal Japan.
He was married to Irene Landowski on June 19, 1948, in Milwaukee.
He was a union construction worker, retiring in 1989.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Michael (Joanne), Rosholt; and three granddaughters.
