Harris T. Cigel, Stevens Point, a longtime Stevens Point store owner, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, in Milwaukee.
Services will be at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the Goodman-Bensman Funeral Home in Milwaukee. Interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Mr. Cigel was born in Russia, a son of the late Hessel and Sarah (Shafton) Cigel. He lived in Mexico for several years before coming to the United States.
He was owner and operator of Cigel Food and Paper Co. in Stevens Point.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was married to Diane Saltzberg on June 6, 1953, in Milwaukee.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Rochelle (Greg) Schmidt, Kenosha, Francine Cigel, Madison, and Jodi Cigel and Helayne Cigel, both of Stevens Point; two sons, Randy, Sammamish, Wash., and Rick, Culver City, Calif.; three sisters, Hannah (Nate) Neren, St. Paul, Minn., Rose Goldie, Florida, and Bessie Swanson, Milwaukee; one brother, Louis (Lucienne), Milwaukee; and two grandchildren.
