Edna R. Freer, 85, Fremont, mother of an Almond woman, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at Bethany Home in Waupaca.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church in East Bloomfield, with the Rev. Gerhard Schapekahm officiating. Burial will be in Wolf River Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Lewin Funeral Home in Fremont and from 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the services.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. John Lutheran Church in East Bloomfield.
Mrs. Freer was born May 22, 1915, in the town of Wolf River (Waupaca County), a daughter of the late Albert and Alma (Niemuth) Koepp.
She was married to Gordon Freer on March 17, 1946, at St. John Lutheran Church in East Bloomfield. He died Nov. 14, 1989.
She was a life member of St. John Lutheran Church in East Bloomfield and belonged to the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society.
She was a 50-year member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 391 in Fremont.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan (Bob) Rohde, Almond, and Gloria (Jim) Knoll, Appleton; two brothers, Elmer (Dorothy) Koepp and Raymond (Clara) Koepp, both of Fremont; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Les.
