Earl O. Dobbe, 79, Waupaca, formerly of Rosholt, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at his residence. He had lived in Waupaca since 1968.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, with the Rev. Charles Tews officiating. Burial will be in Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola and after noon Tuesday at the church until the services.
Mr. Dobbe was born June 25, 1921, in the town of Alban, a son of the late G. Oliver and Mabel (Anderson) Dobbe.
He was married to Irene Hagen on Oct. 25, 1947, at the Alban Lutheran Church in the town of Alban.
He was a carpenter for Ellis Stone Construction and then a carpenter at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King for 16 years. After his retirement, he was a cabinetmaker.
He was a life member of VFW Post 1037 of Waupaca, a 50-year member of American Legion Post 161 of King and a former member of the Carpenters Union.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Roger (Lucille) and Dale, both of Waupaca, Glenn (Linda), Custer, Dean (Kay), Eagle River; two sisters, Harriet Young, Orlando, Fla., and Ruby Forseth, Waupaca; one brother, Albert Dobbe, Waupaca; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Marion Paris.
