Rosalia Louise Ashbeck, 91, 3298 Trestik Drive, Milladore, mother of a Junction City woman, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in the emergency room at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Blenker, with the Rev. Edgar Haasl officiating. Burial will be in St. Kilian Cemetery in Blenker.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Martens/Kundinger Funeral Home in Junction City and from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the services. The Knights of Columbus will combine with the parish rosary service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ashbeck was born Feb. 25, 1909, in Auburndale, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Haffenbredl) Berdan. She attended St. Mary Catholic School in Auburndale.
She was married to Henry Ashbeck on May 14, 1929, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Auburndale. He died Aug. 25, 1961.
After the marriage, they farmed in the town of Milladore. After her husband died, she continued to reside there with her son for the past 39 years.
She was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include four daughters, Marcella Cychosz, Wisconsin Rapids, Helen Vruwink, Milladore, Rita (Eugene) Weiler, Auburndale, and Mary (Leif) Erickson, Junction City; two sons, Robert, Milladore, and Norbert (Anne), Merrill; one brother, Peter (Marie) Berdan, Auburndale; 25 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren.
