Mary A. Moleski, 72, formerly of 1118 N. Reserve Drive, town of Hull, a pioneer in the word processing department at Sentry Insurance, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000, at North Ridge Care Center in New Hope, Minn.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Donald Przybylski officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. Saturday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home until the services.
Memorials in her name may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Treatment and Research Center, 640 Jackson St., St. Paul, MN 55101.
Mrs. Moleski was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late John and Antoinette Andrzejewski. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1947.
She was married to Lawrence Moleski on May 17, 1952, in Chicago, Ill. He died Oct. 12, 1990.
After the marriage, they settled in the Stevens Point area.
She was employed for Sentry Insurance as a word processing/systems manager, pioneering the word processing department with technology and staff job descriptions. She was instrumental in getting open positions at Sentry posted for all employees to see.
She was a member of the office technology management association, the administration management society and the word processing Society, serving as president in 1980. She was honored as the Stevens Point Business and Professional Women’s Club Woman of the Year in 1983.
She was instrumental in designing and conducting classes for lay ministers at St. Stanislaus Parish. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Rosary Society.
Survivors include four daughters, Terry Moleski, Crystal, Minn., Kathryn Moleski, Stevens Point, Susan (Mark) Zuiker, Wausau, and Sarah Moleski, Apple Valley, Minn.; two sisters, Dorothy Nowakowski and Natalie Sczunski, both of Chicago, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers.
