Lydia M. Childers, 92, Waupaca, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000, at Bethany Home in Waupaca, where she had been a resident.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Bethany Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dale Critchley officiating. Burial will be in Lower Amherst Cemetery in the town of Amherst.
Visitation will be at the Bethany Home Chapel one hour prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amherst or Bethany Home Chapel Fund.
Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Childers was born Feb. 13, 1908, in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late Paul and Clara (Wentzel) Rusch.
She was married to Rubert Childers on Sept. 16, 1945, in Amherst. He died in 1963.
She had worked with the food service at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amherst.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Tella Rusch, New Hall, Calif.; one cousin, Mary Lou (Norman) Niemuth, Waupaca; and nieces.
