Kari A. Stroik, 18, 7570 Oak Hills Drive, Almond, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, as the result of an automobile accident in the town of Amherst.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover, with the Rev. Dan Farley officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary of Torun Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the services. A Bible vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name would be appreciated.
Miss Stroik was born Aug. 26, 1982, a daughter of Fredrick and Ann (Boris) Stroik. She attended Plover-Whiting Elementary School and was currently a senior at Almond-Bancroft High School. She worked on the school newspaper, The Eagle Pub, and participated in cheerleading and softball.
Survivors include her parents, Almond; one sister, Kasie Stroik, Almond; two brother, Shane and Fredrick Jr., both of Almond; her maternal grandparents, Ellouise and Ervin Boerschinger, Crivitz; and her paternal grandparents, Patricia and Dan Sentz, Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Peter Boris; maternal stepgrandfather, Raymond Wayerski; and paternal grandfather, Leonard Stroik.
