Frances Irene Lucas, 74, 836 N. Highway N, Milladore, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at her residence.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Martens/Kundinger Funeral Home in Junction City, with the Rev. Paul E. Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Runkel Cemetery in the town of Eau Pleine.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and again from 10 a.m. Thursday until the services.
Memorials may be designated in her name to Lincoln Center in Stevens Point or to Runkel Cemetery Association.
Mrs. Lucas was born April 29, 1926, in Houston, Mo., a daughter of the late Willie H. and Della A. (Morton) Courtney. She graduated from high school in Greentop, Mo.
She was married to Archie R. Lucas on July 3, 1948, in Kirksville, Mo. He died Aug. 30, 1988.
She was employed in health and foster care for most of her life until her retirement at age 70.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Sue (Raymond) Linzmeier, Junction City, Nancy (Leonard) Czaikowski and Sandra (Ronald) Koziczkowski, both of Milladore; one son, Robert (Teresa), Plover; two brothers, Bill (Betty) Courtney and Perry (Betty) Courtney, both of Iowa City, Iowa; one sister, Christine (Dwight) Diltz, Des Plaines, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter.
