Ella Rose (Ricci) Fiecek, 86, 1020 First St., died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at her home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery in Brookfield.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Monday at the church until the services. A general rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Ella Rose Fiecek to the Hospice of Portage County or the Portage County Department on Aging.
Mrs. Fiecek was born April 8, 1914, in Washburn, a daughter of the late Felix and Francis (Schullo) Ricci. She grew up on the family farm in Comstock (Barron County) and attended Comstock Elementary School.
She was married to John V. Fiecek on Oct. 30, 1937, in Milwaukee. He died Jan. 27, 1996.
After their marriage, they moved to Milwaukee’s north side near Lincoln Park. She taught classes at the local Garden Home Social Center in sewing, knitting and fur remodeling. After he retired, they volunteered at the senior citizen meal site at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
In November 1993 they moved to Stevens Point, and she volunteered at Lincoln Center as host and greet for meals.
Survivors include three daughters, Janet (Peter) Baumler, Milwaukee, Marlene (Ken) Storck, Menonomee Falls, and Elaine (Rich) Kizewski, Plover; four sisters, Vera Kleiber, Raleigh, N.C., Nellie (Willard) Weinard, Rogers, Minn., Elizabeth (Raynard) Heller, Chippewa Falls, and Mary (Bob) Frane, Kellsyville, Calif.; one brother, Bill (Vivian) Ricci, Cumberland; and six grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bennie, Jim and Nickie; and one sister, Flora.
