Susan Zynda, 84, 2709 Minnesota Ave., died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at St. Michael’s Hospital. She had been hospitalized since July 17.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Schaller officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. The rosary society of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, of which she was a member, will combine with the parish rosary at 7 p.m. Monday.
Mrs. Zynda was born March 29, 1916, in Mill Creek, a daughter of the late Alex and Elizabeth (Kitowski) Guzman.
She was married to Stanley Zynda on Jan. 19, 1935, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. He died May 17, 1982.
After the marriage, they settled in Stevens Point, moving in 1954 to the town of Sharon where they farmed until retiring in 1980. They then moved to their present address.
She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include one daughter, Delores (Florian) Pochinski, Rosholt; three sons, Raymond (Marianne) and Daniel (Mary Jane), both of Stevens Point, and Stanley (Patricia), Wisconsin Rapids; one brother, Felix (Julia) Guzman, Stevens Point; one sister, Gertrude Iron, Mill Creek; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret; four brothers; two sisters; and one grandson.
