Marvin A. Rekowski, 67, Wittenberg, a former Rosholt area man, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, at his home while under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway, with the Rev. Rex Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the services. A parish prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home of Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Rekowski was born April 13, 1933, in the town of Germania in Shawano County, a son of the late Felix and Joanna (Bronk) Rekowski.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958.
He worked at the Rosholt Box Co. and at the Del Monte Corp. in Plover for many years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway and the parish Men’s Society.
Survivors include two sisters, Esther (Herbert) Borchardt, Milwaukee, and Shirley (Frank) Gilmeister, Merton; and two brothers, James and Robert, both of Wittenberg.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys and Patricia; and two brothers, Ernest and Stanley.
