Joseph J. Firkus, 72, 5403 Highway 66, town of Hull, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Wausau Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. The Moose will hold a ritual at 6:45 p.m. Sunday. The Knights of Columbus will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Firkus was born April 24, 1928, in Galloway, a son of the late August and Pearl (Pezewski) Firkus.
He was married to Joyce Feltz on Sept. 12, 1953, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Torun.
He was employed by Ellis Stone Construction for 38 years.
He was a member of Moose Lodge 1572, Knights of Columbus Council 1170 and a social member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans Post 185.
Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Walter (Bernice) and Leonard (Elaine), both of Stevens Point; and two sisters, Helen (Robert) Kropidlowski and Evelyn (Andrew), both of Stevens Point.
