Grant N. Lutz, 88, formerly of Amherst Junction, a longtime member of the Amherst Town Board, died Thursday, Sept.7, 2000, at Bethany Home in Waupaca.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Nelsonville Lutheran Church in Nelsonville, with the Rev. Dwight Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday at the church until the services.
The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Lutz was born July 7, 1912, in Amherst Junction, a son of the late Albert and Gunda (Moen) Lutz.
He was married to Lucille E. Guyant on Nov. 28, 1935, in Amherst. She died on Sept. 30, 1997.
He farmed on the family farm near Lake Emily most of his life, retiring in 1969.
He served for many years on the Amherst Town Board.
Survivors include two daughters, Janis (Bruce) Dean, Plymouth, and Doris (Russell) Henke, Sun Prairie; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Maynard; and three sisters, Thelma Thomas, Irene Leverenz and Margaret Sutheimer.
