Gerald E. Quimby, 81, Weyauwega, a Portage County native, died Wednesday September 20, 2000, at the Weyauwega Health Care Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega, with Rev. Larry Gross officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 am Tuesday until the services.
Mr. Quimby was born April 29, 1919, in the town of Lanark, a son of the late Marlyn and Mary (Heblewhite) Quimby.
He was married to Della Wilcox on Nov. 2, 1938.
He was married to Lorraine E. Hansen on Sept. 3, 1949, in Waupaca. She died Dec. 28, 1999.
They lived in Waupaca until moving to Appleton in 1952 and then to Weyauwega in 1975.
He was a milk hauler from 1940 to 1944, a carpenter and contractor from 1944 to 1972 and in the recreation vehicle business from 1968 to 1975, doing RV service work from 1975 until 1994.
Survivors include one daughter, Geraldine Utschig, Weyauwega; two sons: Howard, Weyauwega, and Dennis J., Hayward, Calif.; one brother, Charles (Edith), Appleton; two sisters, Evelyn Hanson, Appleton, and Mary Ann Widman, Amherst; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Karen; two sisters, Bernice Quimby Pagel and Mildred Williams; two brothers, Bernard and Kenneth; and one stepdaughter, Sandra Pagel.
