Georgia M. Reading, 86, Wisconsin Rapids, a former longtime Stevens Point resident, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Gary Baumann officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids and from 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the services.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church/School in Wisconsin Rapids.
Mrs. Reading was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Byron, a daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Betake) Sager. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Hillcrest High School in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
She was married to William T. Reading in 1935, in Stevens Point. He died Jan. 6, 1972.
She lived in Stevens Point for 54 years.
She worked as a cook at the Sky Club, the Blue Top Supper Club and the Whiting Hotel until her retirement in 1976.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Evening Guild.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Thomas) Curry, Wisconsin Rapids, and Nancy Klein, Eau Claire; two sons, William A. (Marge), Lake Orion, Mich., and Timothy B. (Marlene), Natick, Mass.; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sally; two sisters, Violet Dahlman and Lillian Berry; and three brothers, Harold, Ted and Don Zager.
