Eugene S. Stuczynski, 58, Amherst, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at his home when a car he was fixing fell on top of him after the jack apparently failed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher, with the Rev. Robert Pedretti officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst and from 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Stuczynski was born June 30, 1942, in the town of Buena Vista, a son of Joseph V. Stuczynski Sr. and the late Alvina (Zblewski) Stuczynski. He attended St. Mary of Mount Carmel School in Fancher and Polly Schools and graduated from Amherst High School in 1960.
He was a lifetime area farmer and most recently was employed at Don Smith Sales in Amherst.
He was a member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
Survivors include his father, Amherst; one sister, Bernice (Peter) Garski, Plover; two brothers, Joseph S. “Jr.,” Plover, and David (Germaine) Stuczynski, Amherst; one nephew; and six nieces.
He was also preceded in death by a nephew.
