Doris A. Pierce, 73, Wisconsin Rapids, a Portage County native, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Evangelical Free Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. David Kurek officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Bancroft.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids and from 10 a.m. Saturday at the church until the services.
Mrs. Pierce was born Feb. 9, 1927, in the town of Buena Vista, a daughter of the late Lowell and Frances Clark.
She was married to Eugene A. Bender in 1946. He died in 1957.
She was married to Leslie Pierce in 1959. He died in 1972.
She was employed by 3M Corp. for many years.
Survivors include one daughter, Nan (Thomas) Joosten, Minneapolis, Minn.; three sons, Allen (Peggy) Bender and Randall (Susan) Bender, both of Wisconsin Rapids, and Vernon (Denise) Bender, Eau Claire; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Karla Nelson; one son, Terrill Bender; six brothers; and two sisters.
