Catherine H. (Firkus) Mager, 84, 5330 Porter Drive, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover, with the Rev. Jim Trempe officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Saturday at the church until the services. A general rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mager was born Nov. 7, 1915, in the town of Hull, a daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna (Krutza-Stark) Firkus.
She was married to Sylvester Mager on Nov. 18, 1944, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover. He died Feb. 15, 1967.
Survivors include seven daughters, Connie (Jim) Blarek and Karen (Bob) Liebe, both of Plover, Julie Ann (Tom) Wanserski, Custer, and Marlene (Tony) Kizewski, Minny (Dave) Garski, Cindy (Al) Klish, and Juliette (Jim) Wachowiak, all of Stevens Point; six sisters, Julie Von Rueden, Ixonia, Genevieve Zenil, West Allis, Barbara (George) Czerwonka, Fox Lake, Evelyn Zblewski (Bob) Bachman, Plover, and Mary Blaski and Irene Sankey, both of Stevens Point; three brothers, Ray Firkus, Lloyd (Ramona) Firkus and Joseph (Dorothy) Firkus, all of Stevens Point; 31 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Alfred Firkus, Edward Firkus and Stanley Firkus; one sister, Elizabeth Chojnacki; and three grandchildren, Donald Klish, Sylvester Wachowiak and Katie Wanserski.
