Timothy Adrian Kessler, 38, Madison, a former Stevens Point resident, died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center in Fitchburg. He was diagnosed in December 1999 with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart Of Mary Catholic Church in Monona with the Rev. Garrett Keegstra officiating.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the services.
Memorials have been established for HospiceCare Inc. and the ALS Society.
Kessler Funeral Home in Neenah assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Kessler was born July 14, 1961, in Milwaukee, a son of Richard A. and Adrienne M. (Adrian) Kessler. He lived in Milwaukee and Stevens Point, graduating from Pacelli High School in 1979.
He received a bachelor of science degree in computer science the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1983 and resided in Madison since then. He was employed as a software engineer in Madison, was most recently at Avstar Systems. He was also a volunteer disc jockey for WORT Radio in Madison.
Survivors include his parents, Wisconsin Rapids; three brothers, Jeffrey (Joan), Great Falls, Mont., David (Olga), Glenview, Ill., and Michael, Milwaukee; one sister, Lisa (David) Barrientez, Racine; his grandparents, Ivan and Mary Adrian, Fond du Lac, and Arthur and Ruth Kessler, Neenah;
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Margaret Kessler.
