Alonzo “Connie” McNutt, 74, 3016 McCulloch St., died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at River Pines Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Alan Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel. A Bible vigil will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. McNutt was born Nov. 15, 1925, in Stonington, Colo., a son of the late Jesse and Susie (Lutz) McNutt.
He entered the U.S. Navy in 1942 and served as a gunner during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
He was married to Grace Shuda on June 21, 1963, in Las Vegas.
He worked for the county of San Bernardino, Calif., in the transportation flood control department. He retired in 1987.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Dale (Gerry) McNutt, Vancouver, Wash., Kurt (Gerry) Smith, Victorville, Calif., and Dennis Smith, Honeydew, Calif.; three daughters, Lynda (Mack) Blalock, Las Vegas, Nev., Ruth (Willy) Wells, Portland, Ore., and Karen (William) Jackson, Berwyn, Ill.; two sisters, Mabel Standee, Fritsch, Texas, and Eva (Paul) Ellison, Delta, Colo.; one brother, Virgil (Jackie) McNutt, Augusta, Kansas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
