Scott A. Stoffel, 39, Wausau, a Stevens Point native, died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at Community Health Care in Wausau under Comfort Care and Hospices Services.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Wausau. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, and again from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the church.
Mr. Stoffel was born Sept. 25, 1960, in Stevens Point, a son of Dan Stoffel, Heathrow, Fla., and the late Sallie (Merlo) Stoffel. He graduated from Pacelli High School in 1979.
He was married to Linda Glenetske on Feb. 14, 1990, in Wausau. She died March 22, 2000.
He worked for the Wausau Country Club and umpired high school baseball and softball.
Survivors include his father; three brothers, Steve (Ruth), Seattle, Wash., Mark, Fayetteville, N.C., and Greg (Kelly), Colorado Springs, Colo.; and one sister, Mary Jo Stoffel, Plymouth, Minn.
