Mitchell J. Pacyna, 79, 2525 Peck St., died Friday, June 23, 2000, at his home. He was under the care of Hospice of Portage County.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald Przybylski officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. The Knights of Columbus will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Hospice of Portage County would be appreciated.
Mr. Pacyna was born May 2, 1`921, in Chicago, Ill., a son of the late John and Helen (Biesczadz) Pacyna.
He entered the U.S. Army Jan. 4, 1946, serving as a Tech 5. He received the Victory Medal, Asiatic/Pacific Theatre Ribbon and the Army Occupation Medal Japan. He was honorably discharged Sept. 27, 1946.
He was married to Ramona Flisakowski on May 22, 1946, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Junction City. She died March 21, 1989.
He was co-owner and operator of West Point Motors, which also was the AMC Jeep dealership. He retired in 1989.
He was a life member of Knights of Columbus Council 1170.
Survivors include four daughters, Patricia (Rudy) Literski, Plover, Judy (Norman) Drefcinski, Wisconsin Rapids, and Deborah (Dennis) Napiwocki and Nancy (Paul) Tufte, both of Stevens Point; two sons, Richard (Chrismary) and Douglas, both of Stevens Point; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one infant son, two brothers and one sister.
