Avis L. Brandt, 84, town of Grant, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Community Health Care Hospice Services Wausau Hospital in Wausau.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids with the Rev. Al Helms officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and again from 9 a.m. Thursday until the services.
Mrs. Brandt was born July 29, 1915, in the town of Buena Vista, a daughter of the late Leslie and Edith (Hill) Kramer.
She was married to Harry Brandt on May 5, 1937, in the town of Grant. He died March 14, 1980.
She was a homemaker and she and her husband farmed in the town of Grant all their married life.
Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis (Robert) Monk, Plover; one son, Marvin, Wisconsin Rapids; seven sisters, Harriet Brandt and Norma Marsh, both of Wisconsin Rapids, Mildred (Charles) Drmolka and Marjorie Baitinger, both of Wild Rose, Beverly (William) Putz, Arbor Vitae, Shirley McIntee, Bancroft, and Nona Getzloff, Stevens Point; four brothers, Wayne (Esther) Kramer and Gordon (Evelyn) Kramer, both of Bancroft and John Kramer and Ralph Kramer, both of Oshkosh; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister.
