Alex Walloch, 90, 917 Jacobson St., Whiting, died Friday, June 2, 2000, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Deacon Arthur Schaller officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel and again from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday. A Bible vigil will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Walloch was born April 5, 1910, in the town of Cigel in Wood County, a son of the late Felix and Johanna Walloch. He grew up on the family farm in Cigel.
He was married to Lucy Coenen on Feb. 9, 1935, in Rudolph.
He worked at Wisconsin River Division of Consolidated Papers Inc. for 45 years, retiring in 1972.
He was frequently on the Public Square, selling fresh produce.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ronald (Barbara), Stevens Point, and Richard (Arietta), Mosinee; three sisters, Evelyn Feldmann, Stevens Point, Amelia Walloch, Milwaukee, and Mary Walloch, Janesville; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
