Valeria “Sally” Konkol, Wisconsin Rapids, mother of a Stevens Point woman, died Friday, May 5, 2000, at the Family Heritage Medical and Rehab Center in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids with the Rev. Andrew Karoblis officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park in Wisconsin Rapids.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and again from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday.
Mrs. Konkol was born Aug. 25, 1916, in Cook County, Ill., a daughter of the late John and Agnes (Pelarski) Lisiecki. The family moved to Stevens Point when she was young and she grew up here.
She was married to Edward Konkol on Sept. 23, 1949, in Stevens Point. He died May 2, 1980.
She was a member and past president of the Senior Citizens of Wisconsin Rapids and planned the group’s field trips.
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Kitowski, Stevens Point, and Kathleen (Bert Penn) Konkol, Madison; two brothers, Vincent (Monica) Lisiecki, Stevens Point, and Walter Lisiecki, Brookesville, Fla.; five sisters, Martha Schreiber, Janesville, and Bernadine (Leo) Zivicki, Frances Scipior, Angeline Pliska and Verona Greene, all of Stevens Point; two grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Victoria Pustz and Dorothy Lisiecki; and one brother, Valentine Lisiecki.
