Thomas B. Check, 83, Milwaukee, a town of Sharon native, died Friday, May 5, 2000, in Milwaukee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Eugene Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
Church and Chapel Funeral Service of Milwaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Check was born March 7, 1917, in the town of Sharon, a son of the late Barney and Regina (Omernik) Check.
He attended Rosholt schools and graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in Sturtevant.
He was married to Martha Kurszewski in May 1941 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent.
After the marriage, they moved to Milwaukee and he worked at St. Regis Paper Co.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Greg and Andrew, both of Milwaukee, Dennis (Susie), Arizona, and Donald (Patricia), Alabama; six brothers, Henry (Evelyn), King, Nick (Cecilia), Stevens Point, Andrew, Ringle, Bernard “Barney” (Patricia), Rothschild, Joseph (Elaine), Ellis, and Wally (Linda), Stevens Point; five sisters, Josie (Joe) Pallen, Polonia, Grace (Harry) Pliska, Stevens Point, Betty Sullivan, Phoenix, Ariz., Mary Wanserski, Polonia, and Theresa (Bill) Gorski, Brookfield; and eight grandchildren.
