Arden R. Winkenwerder, 78, Zephyrhills, Fla., a former Amherst resident, died at his home Monday, May 22, 2000.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Community Baptist Church in Allenville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Mueller Funeral Home in Winneconne and at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the services.
Mr. Winkenwerder was born March 19, 1922, in the town of Vinland (Winnebago County), a son of the late Earl and Helen (Yaeck) Winkenwerder.
He was married to Anna M. Smith n March 18, 1944, in Oshkosh.
He farmed in the town of Vinland until 1970 and also worked for International Holstein Sales Inc., until his retirement in 1986. They then moved to the Amherst area, later moving to Florida where they spent the winters.
Survivors include his wife, Zephyrhills, Fla.; one son, Reed L. (Mary Jo), Winneconne; two daughters, Karen A. (Daniel) McDowell, Scandinavia, and Lois M. (Donald) Jaenke, Oshkosh; two sisters, Frances (Gilbert) Kissinger, Neenah, and Rachel Moore, Elk Grove Village, Ill.; seven grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
