William C. Shulfer, 85, 1016 Francis St., died Friday, April 21, at St. Michael’s Hospital after being stricken earlier at home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen Catholic Church with the Rev. Dan Kozlowski officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the services. A general rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Shulfer was born July 10, 1914, in Amherst, a son of the late Casimir and Theresa (Glodowski) Shulfer.
He was married to Bernice Garski on Feb. 5, 1940, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Custer.
He was employed for Soo Line Railroad for 33 years, retiring in 1975.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Carl (Mary), Stevens Point, and John (Sherry), Plover; one daughter, Patricia (John) Slowinski, Stevens Point; one brother, Lawrence (Lucille), Sullivan; four sisters, Dorothy Gosh, Milwaukee, Gladys Hamilton, Texas, Caroline Buckman, Stevens Point, and Esther Firkus, Mukwonago; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
