Joseph Castor, 83, 3733 Jordan Lane, died Friday, April 28, 2000, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Boston Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the services.
A memorial will be established in his name.
Mr. Castor was born Oct. 19, 1916, in Philadelphia, Pa., a son of the late Frank and Concetta Castor.
He was married to Nicolette M. Mattera in Rochelle, Ill., on Oct. 30, 1933.
He ran a trucking operation until 1961 when he moved to the Plainfield area and began farming in 1962. He retired in 1978.
He was a resident of the Stevens Point area the past 34 years.
Survivors include his wife; two daughter, Mary (Kurt) Harms, Stevens Point, Connie (Frank) Musso, Los Altos, Calif.; one son, Frank (Judi), De Land, Fla.; four sisters, Ann Cipolla, Franklin Grove, Ill., Fran Estes, Rancho Mirage, Calif., and Rose (Tony) Messina and Mary Gelafio, both of Rockford, Ill.; one brother, Frank (Betty) Fanara, Rockford, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Frank Jr.
