Irene M. Sankey, 82, Neenah, a Custer native, died Saturday, April 8, 2000, in Neenah.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Menasha with the Rev. Roy Geenen officiating.
Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery in Neenah.
Visitation will be at the church from 2 p.m. Wednesday until the services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
Kessler Funeral Home in Neenah is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sankey was born Jan. 6, 1918, in Custer, a daughter of the late Alois and Helen (Slagowski) Haka.
She was married to Lambert Sankey in 1942 in Stevens Point. He died in April 1970.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Menasha and a member and past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 10893 in Neenah.
Survivors include one sister, Cornelia “Corky” (Donald) Klish, Stevens Point; and two brothers, Frank Haka, Stevens Point, and Stanley (Joyce) Haka, Utica, N.Y.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Jeanette Hayson, Mary Helen Firkus and Barbara Lesinski; and two brothers, Raymond Haka and Alois Haka Jr.
