Irene H. Ostrowski, 85, Amherst Junction, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at her home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher with the Rev. Robert Pedretti officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst and from 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Ostrowski was born Sept. 26, 1914, in the town of Sharon, a daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna (Soik) Smaglick.
She was married to Walter L. Ostrowski on June 25, 1938, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. He died Nov. 23, 1976.
She farmed with her husband in the town of Amherst for 62 years.
She was a member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ann (Ernest) Kostuch, Menomonee Falls, Charlotte (Philip) Martin, Wisconsin Rapids, and Lorraine (Anthony) Kostuch, Amherst Junction; one son, Leonard (Beatrice), Mequon; one sister, Esther Jakush, Stevens Point; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by nine brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
