Elsie A. Dobeck, 96, formerly of Stevens Point, died Thursday, April 13, 2000, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel Kozlowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the Boston Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dobeck was born April 2, 1904, in Florence County, a daughter of the late Morey and Julia (McGinn) Church. After graduating from Niagara High School, she came to Stevens Point, working first as a telephone operator and later became night supervisor for the local telephone company office.
She was married to Victor Dobeck in June 1925. He died July 11, 1949.
She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She served as a “Grey Lady” volunteer at St. Michael’s Hospital and the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
Survivors include one daughter, Jean (Albert) Feltz, Sedona, Ariz.; four sons, Donald (Joyce), Neenah, Warren (Delores), Wausau, Wayne (Marge), Bozeman, Mont., and Nicholas (Sylvia), Belgrade, Mont.; one brother, Raymond Church, Detroit, Mich.; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters, three brothers and one grandson.
