Arthur J. Cummings, 82, Panama City, Fla., a former Almond resident and father of a Stevens Point man, died Friday, April 21, 2000, at Bay Crest Nursing Center in Panama City.
Services were held in Panama City.
Southerland Family Funeral Homes of Panama City assisted the family wityh arrangements.
Mr. Cummings was born Jan. 4, 1918, in Elcho, a son of the late Arthur Justin and Selma (Schabel) Cummings.
He was married to Marcia Johnson on Feb. 13, 1943, at Fort Lewis, Wash.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, retiring as a master sergeant after serving in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years.
He moved Almond in the 1960s and worked as a custodian for Almond schools. In 1982 he moved to Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia, Laguna Beach, Fla.; two sons, James (Linda), Stevens Point, and Richard, Skokie, Ill.; one daughter, Barbara Anderson, Skokie, Ill.; one sister, Mildred Farley, Empire, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
